Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am Elizabeth and I have been a lurker with occassional peeks from the corner to contribute. I have a request that I am sure you guys can help me with. I have recently quit my job of 1.5 years working three 12 hour nights a week. Yes, that was NIGHT shift. My body is in shambles ( which was my number one reason for quitting.) I am wondering waht kinds of things I should be doing to rebuild my body and get it back in shape. I still experience fatigue and overall low energy. I have actually been sleeping very well. Upwards of 11 hours a night with an occassional 2 hour nap during the day. I just know that I damaged my body by working nights and want to get back on track. Any advice, guidance, encouragement or support would be awesome right now. Thanks and can not wait to hear from everyone. Elizabeth ______________ Get your name as your email address. If not please do so and by a professional , not a family doctor. The reason I state this is the following... About three years ago I noticed I was getting extremely tired, even with a good nights rest like you. I went and had my thyroid tested by our family doctor and he put me on thyroid meds. After giving the medicane a good 3 months I noticed I still wasn't doing any better. I went in to see someone who only specializes in the field of thyroid and found that most family doctor's don't know how much of a difference each number of the thyroid tests make. In the end, my family doctor had me on the dosage for an infant, and not an adult. I was put on the new dosage and noticed a big difference within a week. Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth, How are you eating now? Are you back on a regular " daytime " schedule, or are you still adjusting from the night shift? Are you taking any medications? Do you drink alcohol, eat sugar, exercise ...? Let us know more about your lifestyle and we can help guide you. The fastest route to better health would be the total body cleanse if you could do that now.
