hey,

i am writing because i am torn on whether or not to drink milk??

we have a cow share and are getting raw milk, but then i read articles like this one that susan sent, and i rethink my decision to buy the cow share.

Oh my Mamas! Check this out!http://www.milksucks.com/pus.html

however, i clicked on another link, living dairy free and they sent me to a page that discussed alternatives such as rice milk, amazake, and soy milk (i don't think those are much better than the cow's milk unless you are making them yourself)

anyway--what does everyone think here??

Hi Elizabeth,

I was a dairy addict before I did the cleanse and learned more about this. What I try and do is avoid all dairy. If I can't do that (plenty of will power, it's my won't power that's weak!), then I make sure it's at least organic, preferably raw as well. If it's not organic, I won't eat it. It is an animal product and when non-organic it is simply too toxic with hormones, antibiotics, and who knows what else. I've never been a milk drinker, even with cookies. My weakness was always cheese and ice cream. Yum! ;)
