Hello. My 2 year old has developed a runny nose and sounds congested

I was hoping a tinture might help...........

Any ideas and she does not like tasting any herbs. I have tried teas

can not get her to drink them. I can get her to take an echinea

tincture if I take it with her

Thanks

We are in TN where the ragweed is blooming and today it is raining

Hi there, I would recommend the Echinacea Plus and the Total Tonic. There have

been various suggestions in past posts about how to get kids to take these.

This a problem. There are many herbs and other nutrients that can

help with allergies. First, are you allowing your child to drink

milk or eat wheat? These are both allergy causing foods that can

make seasonal allergies worse.

Nettle and eyebright are very good herbs for allergies. They come

in either capsules or extacts. You should be able to find them in

alcohol free versions.

As to get your child to take them, mix the extracts into a little

apple sauce.

Hope this helps,

James

Echinacia is great! Also try a foot bath of garlic and ginger to take care of the sniffles and congestion. I use it for my 6 (almost 7) year old son as necessary.
