Guest guest
this is from a friend. any suggestions? - rachelwt anotherkyhslist Tuesday, August 24, 2004 7:39 PM [anotherkyhslist] Erin I'm sorry to have been scarce latly, but Erin has been sick and just came home from the hospital yesterday. We spent today at the neurologist's and did more tests. We'll see where it goes, if anywhere. She started on Tuesday being very lethargic, febrile, and having headaches/ body aches. We went to the doctor on Wednesday and again on Friday, then to the hospital from there. It got to the point where she just couldn't stay awake very long at a time. Blood work, CT scan, chest x-ray, and so many other tests all came back negative. Her fever broke Saturday night but she remained lethargic on Sunday with the headache. About midday on Monday, she woke up and said she felt better. One look in her eyes, and I knew she was right. We watched her and decided to take her home and monitor her there. We met with the neurologist today and did an EEG. I should hear from him tonight. (He loves Erin and has been following her since she was one day old.) She's still tired and has had a headache today, but it's better. I've talked with the endo and she doesn't feel any of this is related to the GH since Erin's been on it for 7 years and hasn't increased her dosage for a long time. We're only taking .7 mg anyway, a very low dose, so that's not a likely player in this. Right now, we're calling it a virus. We did the blood work for West Nile since we were in California/Hawaii recently and Erin got her share of bites but those results won't be back for 4-5 days. I'm not willing to let them do another spinal tap to put a more accurate label on it. Since it's viral, you just have to ride it out, so more testing wouldn't have done much for her. We've had three in her young life and they were awful. If things continue and worsen, I'll have to consider it, but will avoid it if possible. Anyway, she's feeling better and she just said that her headache is even better. I know she's not completely herself because she is getting along with her sister too well! When they start fussing again, I will know that all is well. Until then, I'll keep a close eye on her. I'll get caught up on email soon. If anybody has any thoughts on any of this, I'd be glad to hear them. Take care, everybody! It has no known side effects. Great for those not interested in taking the flue shot. It is 80% more effective than the leading cancer drug PSK. You can email me for more information. Guest guest
I do not know the entire history of what you are refering to. however if you think your daughter may hve a viral infection you may want to research the following herbs. Olive Leaf, Elderberry and St. John's Wort all have anti-viral activity. All execpt for Elderberry have side effects that you need to evaluate before using. Hope this helps, James
Guest guest
To add, lemon balm also has anti-viral activity and also helps with fevers at the same time. Check the side effects on that one too. herbal remedies , " bigmuddie2001 " <bigmuddie2001> wrote: > I do not know the entire history of what you are refering to. however > if you think your daughter may hve a viral infection you may want to > research the following herbs.
