Guest guest
It depends on the type of cholesterol. Cholesterol is necessary for surival but I say that with a disclaimer. HDL (high density kind) is the good stuff we want. LDL (low density stuff) is the bad stuff we keep hearing about. Both kinds of cholesterol are influenced by lots of stuff, including diet, exercise, prescriptions, environment, vitamans & minerals, etc. HDL & LDL can be measured separately in a cholesterol test. The more HDL you can get and the lower you can get your LDL the better (with some details I don't know or cannot remember now). Garlic, fruits, vegetables, exercise, omega-3's ( & more I'm sure) can help lower the bad cholesterol.
