Hey Sharron:Where in Southwestern Ontario are you? I am in Guelph.

So I started a course in Herbal Health and Natural Nutrition through

Alive Academy. So far it is pretty good. I am currently learning

about identification, so I looking at every plant I see and trying to

figure out what it is and what the latin name might be. It is pretty

interesting. Next chapter I am making a bunch of formulas, I will

keep everyone posted on what they are and how they turn out

Hi Christine,

I'm in London. Where do you get your herbs. I go to Richters in

Goodwood. Is the Alive Academy in Guelph? I have made the female

formula and TT. What formula are you going to make?

Wow, I grew up in London, around Huron and Sanford Streets. Where are

you? I go to Richters for some herbs, and one of my neighbourhood

health food stores for others. The Alive Academy is in Vancouver, I

am doing it through correspondance. I am hoping to get an

apprenticship with a local herbalist once I am done my schooling>

I am going to make a garlic oxymel, a tonic elixer, and a carminative

tincture. I have made the TT, drawing poultice and the entire

cleansing program. It worked great for me, I feel better than I have

in a really long time.

Wow Doc, that is really neat! I agree about the parties.. I was at

Western for a year ;)

I am going to Brantford this weekend, actually, for a party, oddly

enough. Brantford has grown so much in the past few years, it is

turning into this huge urban sprawl. Do you still have family in

Ontario? Do you ever visit? Are you a Canadian? So many questions, I

know.

Toronto has a pretty good, and growing, natural health field. I go to

an outdoor festival every year, called Om, where we celebrate the

summer solstice. There are natural healers, many workshops, and a

wide variety of musical talent. People of all ages from 2 years old

to 80 come out. It is an amazing experience, and I think it shows how

much the " alternative " lifestyle is really gaining acceptance, and

challenging the more conservative beliefs. Om is a life changing

experience for me every year. Maybe you can come check it out next

year Doc! And anyone else interested as well.

I am so chipper because I am just coming off a cleanse and I feel

amazing! So, have a great day everyone :)

Dear Christie,

I have a sister in Beamsville, cousins in Sioux Lookout and Nova Scotia, and nieces and nephews all over. ;-)

Western was always known as "Party U" LOL. It's been a while since I've been back to the home stompin' grounds but the last time I was there (about 5 years ago) I couldn't believe all the changes. I've always maintained my Canadian Citizenship even though I'm a permanent, green carded resident alien down here.

I'm glad to hear that TO is up and coming in the natural health area. This is great. I remember cuttin' my "natural" teeth on good ole Kensington Market. What a place!!! I think the best China Town in the world is in TO. Any who, I'm really glad to hear that alternative lifestyles is catching on up there. I won't feel so alone the next time I visit.

Love,

Doc

Hey Christie, what a small world. I'm in the Huron Heights

Subdivision. We've been here for 6 years and before that we lived in

the west end just off Wonderland road north. I've been thinking of

doing the cleanse, but I think I need someone to guide me who has

been through it. Can I contact you off list to discuss it? Looking

forward to hearing from you.

Christie...Where and when is the Om held? Sounds like a great weekend

get away. I know what you mean about Brantford growing. I lived there

when my two oldest children were born many years ago. I still visit a

dear friend that lives there and I'm amazed by the changes I see. My

son who lives in Hamilton has applied for a job in Guelph (he is with

the Military). What a very small world we live in!
