Curcumin is the chemical in tumeric that may be responsible for many of the medicinal properties of tumeric. Curcumin is primarliy used as an anti-inflammatory agent. Most recently it was the subjest of a study for cystic fibrosis. I have not heard anything on using curcumin to repair radiation damage.
