Guest guest
After I posted that message (below), I remembered that in addition to the BF & C and Cayenne ointment I also took the BF & C capsules. That combination worked very well. Best Wishes, Patricia Adams " secluded_lynx " <secluded_lynx Re: Sciatica Greetings, I'm new here, and I find it odd that the first post I read has to do with Sciatica.I also suffer with it, and earlier today I ran into an old classmate who was walking on a cane, and she told me the reason is because she's suffering from the same thing = Anyway,my doctor told me about a year ago to try Yoga, and it actually works!!..Unfortunately,I have a problem with committing to doing the exercises on a daily basis :\ So,I'm really glad to see your suggestion for BF & C,I'm definitely going to try it..I think using something like that will be easier for me to stick with Thanks for posting this! Guest guest
Hi An-Marie: Nubians hold the record for amount of butter fat (cream). The Black Oil Sunflower seeds will help with upping her butterfat. Fenugreek, dill and fennel are good herbs for increasing milk production. It's the goat from a farmer I'm purchasing milk from. She has a 1/2 Nubian and 1/2 Lamancha. The milk quality to pretty good, but not too rich. She's been feeding her sunflower seeds, but I want the milk creamier. I'm trying to help has as it'll help me. She's the only person nearest to me that is a goat farmer with a 1/2 nubian. Can the 1/2 produce the same quality as a full breed? Thanks for your help. An-Marie rpadams1 wrote: Quality of goat milk depends a lot on what breed of dairy goat you have. The best and richest goat milk is Nubian milk....Yummy. It also depends on the quality of the food that your goats are eating. Grass/Alfalfa hay and good quality grain (Dry Cob/Rolled Barley) with Black oil sunflower seeds. Please stay away from sprayed on molasses grains as they are suspect in causing diseases and molasses is not the good quality stuff that you or I would want to eat but merely there to keep the dust down and tempt the animals to eat 2nd rate grains. They should have pure clean water, be worm free, and milked in clean area with stainless steel or glass containers (No plastic). The milk should be chilled as soon as possible. Guest guest
Fenugreek, dill and fennel are good herbs for increasing milk production. Other ways to boost your milk production are the herbs Red Raspberry Leaf, Blessed Thistle, Alfalfa, Hops, Marshmallow (in addition to the herbs above); & Liquid Chlorophyll is good mixed in water. As far as 'dosage' goes, it's pretty much experimentation. Taking at least 2 herbs is better than just 1 though. For me, 6 capsules of RRL and 3 of Blessed Thistle per day was more than enough to boost my milk supply when I was sick several times with mastitis (for some reason with this last baby I had several bouts of mastitis~ had it maybe 3 times before in my life with all my other kids... *shrugging shoulders*). Just a slight heads-up~ from what I've read, Fenugreek (which I think you're supposed to take like 12 capsules per day) will cause 'some' women to have blood pressure problems, and, if you take the full dosage you'll smell like maple syrup. ;-) lol Drink tons of water, and let the baby nurse as often as possible. Nursing is the best way to increase milk supply as the baby's sucking is what makes the milk ducts produce. HTH~ Jan G. Guest guest
Thanks. I breed dogs, and I wanted to know for them. Sometimes I have a girl who doesn't have much milk, and I thought I'd try a natural way to increase it. Guest guest
I have Bernese Mountain Dogs (bred in Switzerland) and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They are the ones that you see pictures of them sitting on the laps of the English kings. If anyone has a need for a particular dog, you can email me off list, and I can probably put you in touch with someone who has good dogs. thanks Kay What kind of dogs???
