Guest guest
Hi Grandna Goat, Well, it not my goat. It's the goat from a farmer I'm purchasing milk from. She has a 1/2 Nubian and 1/2 Lamancha. The milk quality to pretty good, but not too rich. She's been feeding her sunflower seeds, but I want the milk creamier. I'm trying to help has as it'll help me. She's the only person nearest to me that is a goat farmer with a 1/2 nubian. Can the 1/2 produce the same quality as a full breed? Thanks for your help. It also depends on the quality of the food that your goats are eating. Grass/Alfalfa hay and good quality grain (Dry Cob/Rolled Barley) with Black oil sunflower seeds. Please stay away from sprayed on molasses grains as they are suspect in causing diseases and molasses is not the good quality stuff that you or I would want to eat but merely there to keep the dust down and tempt the animals to eat 2nd rate grains. They should have pure clean water, be worm free, and milked in clean area with stainless steel or glass containers (No plastic). The milk should be chilled as soon as possible.Best Wishes,Patricia Adams (aka Grandma Goat Wed, 4 Aug 2004 20:28:16 -0700 (PDT) An-Marie Gameiro <angameiroRe: Goats MilkHi Everyone,Does anyone know what I can do to improve goats milk quality, have massive production of milk and making the milk richer and creamier?Thanks,An-MarieFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
The 1/2 doesn't produce as good as I know. I was told only full nubian (which is what I bought years ago) is able to produce the creamier milk. However, the Lamancha produces lots, so that is good.
