Removing Alcohol from Tinctures

Hi there -- I love to make tinctures, as I'm sure many of us do; they're

useful alone or in mixtures and they last darn near forever. However,

two of the people I take care of cannot have *any* alcohol -- one is

eighteen months old, and the other's a former alcoholic!

Can anybody tell me a foolproof way to remove *all* the alcohol from a

tincture before I use it on either of these sensitive souls?

Thanks so much!

Sarah,

Many tinctures can be made with Apple Cider Vinegar instead of alcohol. I would recommend doing this since the only way to remove the alcohol content from a tincture would be to boil it, but that would render most of them ineffective.

Darnit, that makes a lot of what I have unusable...but in any case, are

the instructions for using ACV any different than with alcohol

tinctures? Does it have to sit longer?

Thanks,

S
