Guest guest
Today was beautiful and I decided to take a drive to a really rustic, grassroots organic herb farm I haven't been to in 2 years. It's about 45 min. away and the woman who runs it has all kinds of wild herbs for sale in pots. She doesn't sell bulk herbs, just the fresh plants and lots of them. It's amazing to walk around her totally unpretentious grounds and check out hundreds of pots of medicinal herbs (with a few culinary thrown in there). It's also a great help for future herb identification. Since I can no longer pick herbs off the highway ;-), I bought a few plants to grow in my yard....Self Heal, feverfew (I have a friend who has horrible migraines), motherwort, mullein, plaintain, comfrey and scullcap. Planting them later this evening when the sun is going down. We'll see how it goes. Gloria
