Guest guest
You might find this interesting... http://www.botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/m/marwil20.html botanical.com is one of my favorite herbal resources. Anyway, yes I've used it for colds and for stomach problems. I liked it, but tend to reach for chamomile and peppermint for these purposes quicker than I would marjoram. I mainly use it in foods to boost the nutritional content- it is rich in antioxidants. (I always make sure that it is Origanum marjorana). It is also good for headaches, nervousness, and sinus pain. But from that botanical.com article I realized that they were using the scientific name for common oregano, so then I found this article: http://www.sallys-place.com/food/columns/gilbert/oregano.htm That article talks about the confusion between the two plants. So, the botanical.com link might be useless to you concerning marjoram, but quite helpful. herbal remedies , " anwamaneoflorien " <anwamaneoflorien> wrote: > Does anyone know if marjoram is used for healing? and if it is how > is it used? > Anwamane
