Guest guest
Hi Mary, Thanks for your message. Well, it was a lesson for me regarding the *power* of vegetables/fruits in their raw state (not to mention the concentration of their 'essences' via juicing.) Much to learn here - but what fun! (Though we love veggies, I usually steam, bake, or put them in a soup and rarely eat them raw.) Now we took the Total Nutrition this morning with the Udo's oil in juice (first time! - a rich, unique drink hard to describe) and no unusual side effects detected - just made the tummy feel good - maybe because the ingredients are balanced. One more thing: regarding the addition of raw eggs in the Dragon Snot recipe, I was about to call the farm that provides the organic eggs our co-op sells to ask about the safety of using the eggs raw when I saw on the egg package itself instructions to keep the eggs refrigerated at 45 degrees F or below and to cook the eggs (and foods containing eggs) thoroughly. I thought that was interesting. Regards, Holly .................................... Holly...Very interesting experiment ! ....Mary O
Guest guest
Yep very. Too bad though. They do it because there is a million, maybe more to one chance that there is poisoning from it and that is simply stupid. Only very bad management can cause that. But we're in America and someone definitely tried so now it's on the labels. Best is to get them fresh and use them within 2 weeks. That way all of the enzymes are alive. No hotter than 80 degrees F and they should be fine. I've done it on a ranch. Eggs are far far better that way. Hope that gives you another view.
