This is the crap we feed our kids and we're told is "good" for us. It can't even keep whom it's meant for alive!! Totally GROSS!! What a betrayal.

I'm not a big milk or dairy person, but if I consume milk products (yogurt, butter etc), it's RAW only. Pasteurized/homogenized milk is missing just about everything that was once in it, including the enzymes needed to digest it. I'm in Amish country and am lucky enough to have a raw dairy farm nearby but realize most people don't. You are right...don't drink pasteurized milk, even if it's organic. The government won't allow raw milk products to be sold commercially. Even when I buy it at the farm, they have to put a label on it that says "For Pet Use Only" just to cover their behinds.

Hello friends,

I wanted to throw in a fact here that got me about 99% off of dairy.

The dairy association about 20 years ago (maybe longer) took several calves and decided to do an experiment. The took them away from their mothers and fed them the pasteurized milk.

Can anyone guess how long the calves lived? Nope....

Some died within a month and all died within 6 months. They were being fed something that wasn't food anymore. Their bodies were taking enzymes, calcium and vitamins from itself in order to process the processed milk. The could only survive until their bodies no longer had anything left to steal in order to metabolize the food.

This data is from a lecture given by a well known MD turned ND by the name of Joel Robbins (I think I spelled that right).

I have a 12 year old cat who would never touch milk. Put a bowl on the floor and he sniffed and walked away every time. The first time I bought raw milk and gave him some he lapped it right up. Interesting;-)

Yep! Probably why milk CAUSES so many problems in little kids and babies can't handle it until their tummies are more mature.

Yes, Sally Fallon and Weston Price organization have a lot to say

about the dangers of pasteurization. If anyone is interested in

reading about it, here is the link- http://www.realmilk.com/ (If you

go to the weston price site (www.westonaprice.org) and click on " real

milk " this is the page you get directed too.

Me? I believe what they say but settle for organic, when I can. I

really SHOULD get raw milk but I don't.

The closest place to me that sells raw yogurt/milk/etc is a 45 minute drive. I'm debating if it's worth it. We don't consume too much milk (I won't drink it anymore) but we sure do burn through cheese like it's going out of style!
