Guest guest
It really depends on what kind of arthritis it is. If your going to use any kind of heat you have to make sure that it is MOIST heat. As dry heat will aggravate the condition. THINGS THAT ARE GOOD FOR ARTHRITIS: (sub acute) Paraffin bath – easy to use, relatively cheap. 20-30$ at any drug store or target or wal-mart. I’ve even found them super cheap online at ebay. Basically it’s a small machine that heats paraffin, or beeswax whichever you prefer, to the correct temp. You dip your hand a few times then cover with a plastic bag and sit for 10-15 min. Heat really penetrates and skin is silky smooth. Can also be used on elbows or feet depending on what size you get. Russian Bath – a steam bath given with the patient reclining and the head outside of the cabinet info on www.saunas.com www.faucet.com www.esaunasteam.com INFO: rheumatoid arthritis – during acute stages, client may benefit from cold applications to swollen joints, neutral baths, or cold shower regimen to enhance immune system function. When tissues are not inflamed, the therapist may use warm applications to increase circulation Liz Ostrowski [Odesign1] Friday, July 09, 2004 1:02 PM herbal remedies Re: Herbal Remedies - Carpal Tunnel Syndrome/SARA T Sara...Jumping in here...yes it will help arthritus....Mary O - " Sara Thustra " <sara.thustra <herbal remedies > Friday, July 09, 2004 11:36 AM Re: Herbal Remedies - Carpal Tunnel Syndrome > Will hydrotherapy help with arthritis as well? > Thanks, > ST > > Angela Sill wrote: Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
