Caroline...I sure hope you are doing better. I fear this answer is too late to help you tonight. Aloe on it could help ALOT . You can also bruise Comfrey leaf and use that directly on it. Ice? Hope you get some sleep and are better in the morning. Let us know....Mary O

Well the aloe seems to have helped...thank goodness I have a kid with a quick head on his shoulders huh?? lol

I don't have fresh comfrey...but last night I started an infusion of comfrey and arnica...I have to go out this morning but when I return I will be putting some on it as much of the day as I can. It hurts today....the ankle area is VERY tender to the touch...but the bruising is not as bad as it looked like it could have been...so I guess my son's quick reactions were right on! At the time I honestly had no idea what Aloe would do but just knew it wouldn't hurt. I couldn't bare the though of putting ice on it because of how raw the scrapes were...it was hurting so much because of the rawness when I tried ice...it felt more like burn than cool and comforting...so I didn't do it.

But today it is just tender...making me limp...but not intolerable pain...and I slept moderately well...with my foot propped up a bit on a pillow to keep it from touching anything.

Thanks...if I have any other major problems with it...I'll seek more counsel! lol :o)

sorry for the pain, sometimes when I do things like that I get more angry with myself for not being careful. If it is still sore this morning maybe a cool tea compress might help. Sounds painful. Vitamin E might help also if it is not bleeding.

Hope you heal quickly.Caroline <ladyguinevere wrote:
