I have been investigating the Constitution, America First, and

Libertarian Parties, and have decided I am going with the

Libertarians this year too. I am another one who is fed up with the

same old stuff from the Reps and Dems. Here in Ok it is very

difficult to join the Libertarian Party, but at least it is on the

ballot. I had a choice when registering to join Democrat, Republican,

or Independent. That is it--period!

I agree that we need to make our wishes and feelings known. And the

more of us who do this the better. I do not feel that my vote is ever

wasted, unless I don't vote at all.

Not voting is a wasted vote. I have been reading on the libertarian party lately, partially because I "shot my mouth off a couple weeks ago" in this venue. I almost dropped from your group becasue I had come in at a time when everyone writing seemed to be talking politics. But, I am glad I waited and listened, (if you will), for a while. I saw David Cobb on CSPAN last week. He was very interesting, people were calling in and he was answering their questions. One thing he kept saying, because people were asking about the wasted vote thing is that he really did not want Bush back in the White house and if you don't feel you can vote for him (Cobb) then to vote up as he called it for Kerry. But, to "vote down" in other words at the state and local levels Libertarian, so that it can start a grass roots change that both Reps and Dems would have to listen to. I was always concerned about the

political machinery. You know the two parties fighting and nothing getting done. I think Cobb is right, voting at these levels would help the Liberatarian party build a stronger base. I have always voted according to what the individual said. But a lot of times the person I voted for gets no support. Just thought people would like to know there are many peopl I have talked to looking for alternatives to the two party system. hdclnc66 <hdclnc37 wrote:
