Guest guest
Kay....It is not by weight, but , by volume . You can use whatever you like to measure . If you use a small scoop and the recipe calls for 6 parts then it would be 6 scoops , 2 parts , then 2 scoops , etc. What you measure with needs to be the same for each ingredient . It's just the number of "parts" that changes . Make sense?....Mary O - Kay Fielding herbal remedies Friday, July 02, 2004 5:31 PM RE: Herbal Remedies - KAY /healing muscle Thanks ever so much Ian. But how do I measure a "part" when I do this? By weight only I assume??? Thanks so much. Kay
Guest guest
Thanks Mary. Now, this might be a dumb question to those of you who do this all the time, but some ingredients are thick, or thin, light or heavy, take lots of room, or small pieces. Do you press it into the measuring thing or do you just dump it in loosely? I guess measuring brown sugar is different than measuring salt. Is brown sugar a swear word on the list? Guest guest
Kay...There are no dumb questions here ! Loosely is fine . There may be a need to press a little but you do not need to pack it down as with brown sugar . To save on space at , could you delete the former messages from your post ?.....Mary O - Kay Fielding herbal remedies Saturday, July 03, 2004 8:35 AM RE: Herbal Remedies - KAY / PART Thanks Mary.
