Guest guest
Jobs were being sent oversees in the 90s, that didn't start 4 years ago but about 20 or probably more. Not to get involved with this discussion but just to let you know. diane in nw mt - Sandra Ballantyne herbal remedies Monday, June 28, 2004 12:48 PM RE: Herbal Remedies - RE: Bush blamers Well, I thought this was an herbal remedies group, not a political foremat. Yes, Bush has done what he said he was going to do and more. He has made our allies mistrust us. He has been dishonest with the American people. He has killed our economy, I don't know where you live but, we have people out of work because of all the jobs that have been sent overseas. I will always support our troops, these are our fathers, sons, brothers, sister, mothers, and daughters. But, he has sent many to there doom, unless you think there is only one way to do something. Not liking the way Bush has handled things does not mean I do not care about our Amreican citizen over there and here. Rob Combis <rcombis wrote: I agree with our President and I support our troops. Bush is doing everything he said he would do when he took office. When he says something, he means it. I admire that. Things haven't gone completely as planned, there is no doubt of this, but we are making progress and hopefully we can help transform the middle east region into one of hope and prosperity for all the citizens. One other point here: Most middle eastern countries suppress women, treating them as second class citizens. Where is the outcry from the feminists groups or any group for that matter?? I don't get it.Ok enough about that, let me make my real point. Alternative medicine and Alternative energy. We have two main problems that I can see, domestically. Our healthcare system is an utter debacle and we rely on foreign, unstable countries for our primary energy source. On this list we discuss one of these problems, healthcare and we are fighting back, taking our health into our own hands. Not relying on the drug companies who definitely don't have our best interests. Think about the implications when our message (or focus) becomes mainstream. Our healthcare issues will be drastically reduced. I know the drug companies are powerful. But I know something more powerful, us, the consumer. If we don't buy, they don't stay in business. It is as simple as that. I feel that anyone who has received the wonderful benefits from natural healing needs to spread the word and educate, even if on a very small scale. If everyone does a little bit we can accomplish so much. I have faith that the truth will get out and this long distant goal will become a reality.Ok, the second topic, Alternative energy. From a politically standpoint, I feel a lot of our problems stem from the fact that a handful of people control the wealth in the middle east. They suppress their own people and blame it on us. We are far too dependent on foreign oil or for that matter oil. Alternative energy sources are right at our fingertips. Cold fusion, zero-point energy, hydrogen, wind, tidal, solar....I could go on and on. The reports we hear from these are that they won't work, they won't supply our country with enough energy....Well folks, these reports we hear are similar to the reports we hear about herbal remedies and other alternative medicines solutions not working. The people who are writing the reports have a financial interest in suppressing alternative medicine and alternative energy. See a parallel here?? What I don't understand is all the Bush bashers. They rant and rant and rant......But no substance comes out of their rants...I have a suggestion for all the Bush bashers. Do some digging on alternative energy. Demand that the government fund some of this research. Make it non-political. Bush isn't that target here, change is. Do you think Kerry is going to do anything different on either front medicine or energy. Not a chance. The government we will have with Kerry will not be any different than the one we have with Bush. Make no mistake about it. (Begin quick political opinion) I like Bush because he does what he says he is going to do. He is focused and when I hear him speak I get a sense of honesty and courage from him. Kerry on the other hand is as arrogant as they come. (end quick political opinion) Back to alternative energy. If the liberals/bush-haters would focus their efforts on something like alternative energy, and not make it derogatory political rhetoric, then they would be met with open arms from many on the right, including myself.
