Guest guest
Hi Theresa, Both my husband and I used to eat more the "standard american diet" prior to doing the total body cleanse, at which time we both switched cold turkey to the raw fruits and veggies for the cleanse. It was hard, especially for my husband who was a big time carnivore. Since that time, however, our bodies have adjusted and we survive exceptionally well on just raw fruits and veggies. Yes, we have cooked also, and my husband sometimes has meat, but we have no problems if we go all raw plants. My opinion is that our bodies definitely get used to what we give it. It has to adjust to get used to a different diet, even if it is healthier! I would recommend making the transition slowly - ie, try cutting out the sausage at first. Have some sprouted grain toast with your eggs and banana. Also, Total Nutrition (with the raw egg) would also be very helpful in the transition. Sprouted nuts, esp almonds, have a lot of protein in them and you could snack on those to keep your blood sugar up. Anyway, I think if you transition over time, you'll get there easily enough! I have been eating this breakfast for two years. If I change this, my sugar goes out of control. Is there a way to modify the cleanse or am I missing something. I would really like to have a live food lifestyle and not eat meat products if I ! can help it.
