Guest guest Posted June 25, 2004 Report Share Posted June 25, 2004 Teresa, I dont think you will have to worry about blood sugar drop if you follow the regimine to the tee. Depending on your cleanse goals (ie; just clean out , or lose weight and clean out, etc...) you can adjust some things in the cleanse. With the exception of the Liver cleanse days, you can eat some cooked food (as long as it is organic, vegan, and not over-cooked). Of course you get the highest benefit by going entirely raw throughout the entire 24+ days. Also, if you find that you are still hungry or feeling tired, you can have additional Total Nutrition drinks during the course of the day and not just in the morning. MY DH had to do extra's as he is really tall and has a super metabolism and was dropping too much weight. I sometimes have issues with low blood sugar and get MEAN, but didnt really find that i had that problem, just learning not to eat so much If you' ve already listened to DOc's tape and are ready to try the regimine, you should call him for your consult and discuss your specific goals and concerns with him, he is wonderful! Sylvia I have tried to go with legumes, nuts, flax seed(fresh ground) and fish oils. I still get a significant drop in my blood sugar around 10 a.m. unless my breakfast is the following: Eggs, sausage, and b anana. I have been eating this breakfast for two years. If I change this, my sugar goes out of control. Is there a way to modify the cleanse or am I missing something. I would really like to have a live food lifestyle and not eat meat products if I can help it. It is nice to hear from you since both you and your husband have finished you cleanse.
