Doc,

I'd really like to thank you for this thread. It has really opened

my eyes to other things that i have quietly brushed under the

carpet. Much to DH's efforts, i try not to think about or discuss

these subjects at home Or anywhere else for that matter).

After you mentioned the Libertarian Pty, i decided to check their

website out and was quite supprised to find out that many of their

opinions mirror things that have been discussing here recently like

Alternative Health care (it's what WE are all about here in HR's),

choices on Schooling, insurance and several other sujects.

I now realize I have more of a responsibility to myself, family and

neighbors than just being aware of what we eat and how we use

resources. In a way, this is integral to overall health. I'm going

to continue reading and getting involved...Thanks again!

Yer most welcome hon.

Most of the time Valorie doesn't want to know about these things, as protection of the family is my "hat". She entrusts me to ensure that "evil" and things that go "boomph" in the night are confronted. Once in a while though, something crosses her lines like the recent Fluoride legislation here in Clearwater FL and she dons her protester's mantle and you'd think she was a she-wolf protecting her cubs. LOL

Wellllllll, this new threat from Bush and his cronies also has her dander up and she's spreading the word on this one too.

The only other issue we are majorly concerned about is the possible reintroduction of the DRAFT in 2005 as Bryan will be turning 18 that summer, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna lose my child in some war to line the pockets of Bush and his Oil pumping, pharmaceutical, banking interest buddies. Make no mistake about it. The war in Iraq is not about terrrorism, it's about money.

I know, I know, I know ROTFLOL I just opened up a new "Political" line and it is off policy for this list. It's just that I'm so upset with Bush for this final straw (the one that broke the camel's back) of making it mandatory for me and mine to get a psychiatric evalution that I'm dumping all of his shortcomings on him at one time.

The man has to go!!!!

Love,

Doc

PS. And Kerry is no better. If this country is going to survive, it needs a shakin' and an awakenin'.

Woohoo, we may have another Libertarian in our midst! I've been registered Libertarian for over a decade now, close to two, I guess. Of course, when my religious friends found out, I was accused of being, shall we say, antiChrist-ian. Ah, well.

It is not a popular action and it will NOT come up before the election.

If Bush gets reelected, it'll most likely come up between March and June of 2005. Might happen a little later if Kerry gets in, and won't happen at all if the Libertarians get in.

There has been noises in the armed forces of setting up the boards, and these noises don't happen unless it is being seriously considered.

You'll notice that neither Bush nor Kerry are openly bringing up the subject, but the armed forces are organizing this behind the scenes.

I saw the article on the draft and was horrified as this would apply

to my g'sons, nephews AND nieces. Not only that...no more running

off to canada to avoid it, or off to college. They're going to take

I'm starting to believe my ancestors (The Mayans), in thinking that

Do you think they will find some way to prevent people from going to

Canada for refuge if the draft comes back? That's where my husband

and I would have ended up if he hadn't gotten one of the last

fatherhood exemptions from the VietNam war. We watched one of his

stepbrothers get drafted and the power of the brainwashing was

absolutely unbelievable. This young man was totally against it but

just could not leave his family so went in. He was a completely

different person after boot camp.

Its looking that way john; they appear to have some clean ideals.

That anti-christian comment is ridiculous. Seems to me that anyone

who does not fight for the right to live the way that god/the creator

intended us to is not only out of their tree, but busy being a

hypocrite!

I'm sure i'll get some flack from my family (all born agains) but in

my own eyes and in the eyes of the one who made all that is (no mater

what name you know him by) our duty should be to fight for how things

were intended to be, NOT how they are or where they are going and for

the good of all...not just the privledged or under priv'd.

or... i could look into building my self a space ship equipped with

herbal remedies and lots of seeds, take my family and bail to some

other planet??? ;o)

If you have some nationalistic ties with Canada, it might be an option.

If not, I'd say no. My son Bryan though born in the States is half Canadian through me. If we were to move there, he'd be granted citizenship with little hassle. Once this occurred he would not be extradited to the US even though the US requested it.
