Guest guest
My mother tried them a while ago and was pretty impressed with them. But she fails to scrutinize ingredients, which is a big no-no in such a toxic world. (Sorry to be so cynical & pessimistic, but I believe it's the truth). Anyway...for example, there was some pimple cream that I looked at the ingredients to and I chucked it...I wish I could remember what they were, but they sucked anyway. I just ran across a tube of antibiotic ointment in my drawer (that I hadn't used, probably another one my momma gave me) and I just looked at ITS label and saw that one of the ingredients is mineral oil! As a massage therapist, we learned NEVER to use mineral oil on the skin! It's one of the worst things. It clogs the pores and has carcinogenic effects, according to what we were taught. My momma finally quit dealing with them because their prices weren't all that great and they weren't much better than conventional crap that sheep buy at regular grocery stores. (No offense to anyone--again, that's just my opinion.) I would chalk them up to nothing more than another (bigger) MLM company who assembles their products from questionable ingredients, and I definitely discourage supporting companies like this. They make laundry & dish detergent, deodrant (I think), facial products, etc. But I didn't ever really find these products to have much use, as I could always come up with better alternatives. (And cheaper, too!) Guest guest
Please understand that Melaleuca is a MLM. MLMs are not in business for your health, they are in business to recruit new members and to make money. How do I know this, I own a health food store and I have to deal with the mess that the MLMers cause. I have yet to meet a reputable MLMer that puts the customers interest above their own. My suggestion to everyone is to find a good N.D. or independant health food store and buy your products from them. There are no miracle cures no matter what anyone might tell you. There are many execellent brands available in health food stores that are much better in quality and are priced lower than you are likely to find through any MLM.
