Guest guest
Oh boy did I just have to fight the urge to grab a friend of mine and shake some sense into her. A couple months ago she went on an antidepressent...Paxil I think it was. I said it was probably her constipation messing with her. Her depression wasn't getting any better on the Paxil so I finally managed to get her to order some IC#1 and IC#2 said my depression gets 1,000 time worse when I'm not "going". Score 1 for Candace! Meanwhile her psychiatrist weaned her off the Paxil and as of yesterday she's had none. I was so proud of her! But yesterday and today she's been flipping out yelling at her kids and throwing things around her house. She doesn't get what's wrong with her and is thinking of going to a doctor for a drug to help her get off the drug. ~mouth drops open~ They make drugs to wean you off of other drugs!?! I sat speechless while she changed the subject to how her pediatrician told her why her kids are so whiny. Her DOCTOR knows why her kids are whiney but she doesn't. ~throws hand up in the air~ I GIVE UP! Yes again!!!!!!!!!! Candace Everything will turn out well in the end. If things are not well now, then it is not yet the end.
Guest guest
Getting thru the morning is sometimes not a big deal, but by mid-day you're kind of burned out from the morning and either need a nap if you are tired or something to take the edge off if the kids are running amuck. Perhaps an iced tea made of or with a little chamomille or St Johns might help her mid day? If you dont have anything for her to try, see if you can find Yogi Tea, they do a tea called St Johns or Kava Stress which she should be able to pick up at most any HFS. Dont give up, it will only make you crazier! Guest guest
Hi y'all, I'm baaaack.... (at least till more school starts, lol) As one who has had moderate-to-serious chronic depression since 1991, I've had both the " angry " kind of depression and the " anxious/worrysome " kind. I've found that Valerian root and Vitamin B-Complex (and STAYING OFF THE SUGARS!!!) help with the temper tantrums and the St John's Wort helps with anxiety/worrying/sad kind. Kava is good for being overstressed, where I was neither angry nor worried but just stressed. Can't emphasize the no-refined-sugars enough, tho. (Funny enough, I can't do processed danishes or pastries or pancakes. They make me CRANKY AS HELL.) Oh--and make sure she eats good food at regular intervals (INCLUDING BREAKFAST--skipping it is another fuse-blower for me). Acupuncture can be very effective at lifting depression. And as a soon-to-be massage therapist, I've studied lymphatic drainage, which is about an hour-long, GENTLE procedure that is similar to, but even more relaxing than, a massage. The person having it done often goes to sleep. But meanwhile, the body launches into an awesome deep detox mode. It's safe for almost everyone, even cancer patients, and while EVERYONE needs it, it's ideal for ppl who are recovering from alcohol or drugs (prescription OR illicit), or quitting smoking. And it's as much of an emotional cleanse as it is a physiological one, so it operates on different levels. This is another option this lady should look seriously into. Just my experience, hope it helps? --Jeni Laura herbal remedies , " Sylvia " <h10feet> wrote: > Getting thru the morning is sometimes not a big deal, but by mid-day > you're kind of burned out from the morning and either need a nap if > you are tired or something to take the edge off if the kids are > running amuck.
