Guest guest
I am trying to draw the elements out of confrey into a oil, I thought maybe olive oil would be the best oil to use. I have never done it and wondered if you, my new friends could guide me on the process.
Guest guest
I actually started my comfrey infused olive oil yesterday. I've made infused comfrey oil before just leaving it for 6 weeks in the oil, but beware.... comfrey is so moist that the oil will mold easily. I find that a heat infused oil works best for comfrey. I use a crock pot, keep it on warm for a few hours, turn it off, then on for about 5 days. You don't ever want to boil it or see bubbles. What I do is keep a towel next to my crock pot and wipe the top of the cover whenever I walk by as the condensation on the top is the water and I remove it. When it's done it is lovely and you can make it into a salve or keep it as an oil. Bonnie Rogers
Guest guest
Getting the freshest herbs for the best price depends on where you're located. What state are you in?
