Guest guest Posted June 14, 2004 Report Share Posted June 14, 2004 I have a severe case of gas reflux that for some reason hits me hardest in the summer time, last year I was put into the hospital because it was so bad it was thought I had a heart attack. The medications both over the counter and prescription gives me little relief. And since the coming of summer it got bad again, I need some advice on what I can do for it herbal. I really need help my life is on hold when I am this bad and I know it will only get worse. Any and all ideas are surely welcome, and at this point I will try anything. Thank you DancingWolf Friends. A real easy one to start with would be to take DGL (deglycerized licorice) 2 chewables 10 minutes before you eat and to also take about a teaspoon of slippery elm powder in a little yogurt or applesauce 3 times a day. I have milk in my morning coffee, have fried food maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Have ice cream bout 3 or 4 times a month. Cut out lots of sweets, been eating my veggies. Normally drink water, but on occasion treat myself to a soda. I smoke, maybe that can cause it too? Have a 1/2 pack a day ( cut down from a pack and a half a day) What else do you need to know. Let me know and I will gladly tell you if it will help me get some relief.
