Guest guest
Hi Kim - thank you very much for your thoughtful response. One thing that is kinda funny is when I was typing my original message it was late - I was tired and ready for bed. At first I just typed garlic, but on second thought went back and added odorless - *so*, glad I did. I appreciate the information on garlic - something I didn't know. Of course, my first thought when the constipation began was diet. I eliminated wheat. We don't do dairy. I was at a loss as for a cause. I think I'm doing pretty good on her diet although I'm sure there is room for improvement. As I mentioned in my original post, the naturopath diagnosed a hair worm so now I must treat that. Should I also be concerned about the amebas? I am not very good at online research so if anyone has any sites they could pass along to help me I would greatly appreciate that. I have not began the naturopath's suggested remedies and I am glad - from what you say of the terramycin. For the moment, she is drinking diluted organic prune juice (25% juice/75% water). This is helping her bowels move about once a day. But the stool is quite soft and has a terrible odor. I'm wondering if an effective treatment would be the anti-parasite/anti-fungal formula and intestinal cleanse #3 (for babies and small children)? Both of those are in the files. Or should I take the remedies suggested by the naturopath and let Nyah get them from breastmilk? Guest guest
Hi Tiffany, I didn't see anyone's response to this, so I'll just throw my thoughts out there, although I'm not really knowledgeable in the areas you're asking for help with. But, here goes... The diluted prune juice sounds like a very good remedy, as does the IC #3. I would be comfortable using either of those on a young child. I really don't know anything about all the remedies the naturopath suggested for you. Some of the labels sounded a bit complicated for me. I'd try and stick with something simpler. (Others may be more knowledgeable and would have better advice, though.) The other thing I'm not sure about is you taking the supplements and letting your daughter get it in breast milk. That may be common practice, but I'm not sure. I would think that that would be critical to do if your daughter possibly caught this from you. If not, then maybe just treating her would be best. So, thinking about how nebulous my information is, I realized that my hesitancy is because I don't recall you saying anything about the naturopath. Is this someone you've used before successfully? Do you trust them? OK, that's all I can think of for now. Let us know how your girl is doing. :)Kelli nyah412 [tineet12] Saturday, June 12, 2004 8:38 AMherbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Baby's Health from the mommaOr should I take the remedies suggested by the naturopath and let Nyah get them from breastmilk?
