Help for making wheat berry flour

Hi,

I'm thinking of sprouting and grinding my own wheat berries to make flour.

I should dry them at low temp in the oven after sprouting? I have a

dehydrator, but I don't think it has temperature controls on it. Also, can

someone suggest a good way of grinding them. I was hoping a certain food

processor would be good. A coffee grinder just seems too small to make a

lot of flour. Of course I guess grinding by hand would be worse.... :)

Thanks for any input.

Dear Lisa, I've never sprouted and then dehydrated

wheat berries but I grind my wheat berries in a

Vita-mix for very nice flour. The kind I use are

Montana Gold. Am new to this list and anxious to view

the e-mails.

Karen and Lisa,

Unless you are really interested in the whole process of making your

own sprouted grain flours, i would suggest you buy flour from

Essential Eating, they have wheat, spelt and rye flours that are

organic and sprouted!
