candace,

i made that cabbage concoction yesterday. it won't be ready until friday evening so it just has to sit in my pantry until then. I would like to make that broth w/ the vegetable peelings, etc.....but my husband doesn't get paid until friday.....I think my thyroid and my absorption problem is going together....

Or how about that cabbage concoction this group was talking about when i first joined;

Put cabbage in a blender with distilled water and leave it sit in a dark place for a few days. Wouldn't that help the stomach/colon?

Susan,

are you using slippery elm to start to heal your colon? I'd be using it with some organic whole milk yogurt to start healing the colon and adding lots of good flora in. Also I don't know where you are located, but a wonderful thing to start to work on your colon with is to start drinking some plantain tea. In most areas you can find plantain growing all over. I'm going to try to attach a picture of plantain so you can see what it looks like. If you have it, pick the fresh leaves, down to the bottom of the little stalk, fill your jar fill and then fill it again with boiling water, let it steep a few hours, then drink and store remainder in refrigerator and drink it either warm or cold.
