Guest guest
Yeah, I do feel blessed when out on my deck, evening, mornings, looking at the redwoods, pines, madrones. I've only one close neighbor, so it is pretty quiet out there. The down side is my lot is on a hill, and not much area for a garden. Not much sun either. I have some tomato plants on the deck in pots. I've tried to plant, but would have to put up deer fences……they do love the plants, veggie or flowers! When budget permits, I would like to set a greenhouse up, there's an area I can do that. I hang bars of soap, plant extra around the periferal of the property for them to eat and when it gets really bad..well, Bob "marks" the property,lol..That usually works.. Guest guest
At 06:49 PM 4/1/2008, you wrote: Kraig, I can't begin to tell you how touched I was by your post - for several reasons. First, thanks so much for writing in the small letters - It was so much easier to read. I really appreciate it. Second, when I told my DH about your last post, how you sat with your wife, and what you did, I told him I could visualize the scene. I could almost see you, so afraid you were going to lose your beloved, but hopeful that what you were doing was going to help. Talking softy to her while you massaged (I guess that would be the correct term?) her foot. I can only imagine what you must have felt - how your heart leapt for joy, when she responded to your treatment. I must also tell you, that I was so moved by your post below - perhaps also because you chose to write in the little letters - that tears actually came to my eyes. It's clear you went through a lot with your wife, and that you loved her very much - it must have been very difficult. Now, I can sense your frustration, whereas I wasn't able to do that before. I understand deep frustrations as you have described - perhaps not for the same reasons, but I understand them. Sometimes they just boil to the surface and you just want to rage - especially when you feel you have something that will help, or a way that will help, and seem to be having a difficult time getting your views across. Sometimes it seems like the Truth is like a freight train, coming down the tracks, but you can't get others to understand the imminent danger they're in.......Sometimes you can't get people off the tracks, even when you see this train bearing down on them, and know, with every fiber of your being, that it's going to hit them, and there's not a thing you can do about it. Believe me, I do understand that. So, now that I've had time to control myself, and wipe the tears from my eyes..........I'm at risk, as are my two sisters, for cancer, especially breast cancer. My mother got it when she was a bit younger than I. (my father also got cancer later in life, and that was what killed him). Initally, they told us her lymph nodes had also been affected. The test clearly showed they had been. We all prayed so hard. Most of the people in my family do believe in miracles and the power of prayer. Anyway, when they went in, they did remove her one breast, but found no lymph node involvement. I believed then, and do to this day, that we had a miracle. I don't think the doctor made a mistake. In fact, he even told us, he felt it had been a miracle. Years later, she developed lung cancer. She was probably in her mid to late 60's then. They took out her lung and she got radiation treatment. She never really recovered from that surgery. Later, she told me, had she known how difficult the recovery would have been, she wouldn't have done it. I almost think, in this case, the treatment was worse than the disease. She was never the same again. All of a sudden, she became this frail little old lady who couldn't do many things for herself anymore. It's not what killed her, but it certainly hand a hand in it. I appreciate the tip about the oils re breast cancer. What is it in those two things that will help breast cancer stay away? Since I'm so high risk, and due to my age, I'm now supposed to have a mammo every 6 months. It's time again, but after reading some of the stuff I have about how mammogram could potentially be damaging, I don't know what to do. I don't want to be foolish, but at the same time, I don't want not to do something for the wrong reason. Whether it's training, dogma, or fear, I'm not surprised a number of doctors wouldn't listen, or give credence to what you said. I know most of the people in the group disagree with me, but I do not believe all doctors are pawns of Big Pharma. I think, when one has come to believe certain things, it's difficult to hear or find out that what you have believed, spent a large part of your life believing, may not be true. That there may be a simpler way. Now that I can actually read your posts *smile*, I'd very much like to know what you want to share. Sadly, sometimes the lessons learned the hard way, are the best............ Lynn THANK YOU LYNN AND THANK YOU FOR READING MY ALL CAPS.....
