Guest guest
Wet? LOL. I wish. You must be thinking of winter! It's pretty dry here now. I live off a dirt/gravel road, and the dust is kicking up now. Sometimes in the summer I have to go out and sprinkle the road to keep the dust down. Always makes me giggle when I do it as most would be watering their garden, or lawn, but noooooooo, I have to water the road! Well, makes me smile anyway. Guest guest
I know a lot of people that live in the Santa Cruz mountains that always complain about the mildew. Is that true, or are they just doing that to keep the rest of us from moving there? LOL!! Guest guest
That's pretty much true in the winter. I clean down the windows and sills quite often at that time. I also have some air cleaners in the house for the winter when the place is closed up. Got `em turned off now as the windows are usually open! Guest guest
Mildew was extremely rampant in San Diego. Hubby cleaned everywhere for it weekly and yet it grew, and grew and grew! It grows on EVERYTHING too. I was toally grossed out when it was growing on the metal frams of our windows. That was one thing i was happy to leave behind in Calif! Now i often feel like a dryer sheet that has been thru 2 cycles on high, in the dryer, is there a place where there is a happy medium??? Guest guest
Sylvia~ I'm in El Paso, TX and I know that dust! lol It's everywhere and you can never completely get rid of it. *sigh* Where are you in NM? Guest guest
Yes, the San Francisco Bay Area! Parts of it anyway! LOL! We don't get mildew at our place (near San Jose). It's more inland - a bit dryer and hotter than right on the coast or in the coastal foothills. But we can get to the beach quickly! Best of both worlds! Guest guest
Hi Jan, I'm in Rio Rancho (just north of ABQ), yeah i know you guys get dust down there too, my dad and brothers live in ELP. The winds have been really tough in the last couple of months and it amazes me just how much dust blows in under the doors, etc. Anyway, now that the evap cooler is going, i'm hoping for a bit more mositure int he house, not to mention a reduction in dust since everything is locked up tight!
