Guest guest
I searched all through the files and couldn't find ginger tea. Is it just fresh ginger? What else can I add to make Miranda feel better? I'm going to do the garlic paste again tonight. She is playing again, but still coughing. Thanks, Lisa C. Guest guest
Hi Lisa, To make the ginger tea, just take a bit of fresh, organic ginger root (approx 1" or so), "skin it" and I also chop mine into chunks, and then put in 6 cups of water. Bring to boil and then let simmer for 15 minutes. There you go! Glad your girl is doing better. Let us all know how the garlic paste goes too. :)Kelli Lisa Carter [randasmommy2003] Friday, June 04, 2004 10:55 AMherbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Ginger teaI searched all through the files and couldn't find ginger tea
Guest guest
Thanks. It's simmering now. All she wants to do is nurse, I hope she'll drink some. She's hardly even eating. All she wants is applesauce or mango or crackers in small quantities. Guest guest
Don't worry about her lack of appetite for now, Lisa. Her body is still healing up and doesn't need to waste energy on digestion. Nursing is good for her. So is the fresh fruit or you could also try fresh squeezed juices. Might want to dilute them though since she's still young. Is she feeling better though? Energy up? :)Kelli Lisa Carter [randasmommy2003] Friday, June 04, 2004 12:45 PMherbal remedies Subject: Re: Herbal Remedies - Ginger teaThanks. It's simmering now. Guest guest
Yes. She has more energy, but it's only during the day. As it gets later in the day she starts feeling bad again. I've noticed that when I'm sick too. I'm waiting for the tea to cool now. Should I dilute it all? I gave her mullein- nettle tea yesterday in apple juice. Is that necessary? Guest guest
Yes, she'll probably need more sleep (going to bed earlier) until she heals up. She'll probably like the tea better with apple juice, but use your best judgement. If you normally dilute her juices, then you can mix the juice with the tea. If she likes tea, then let her try it plain. Don't worry, you'll both get through this!! You're doing great! Guest guest
She's not to sure about it. She'll push it away then want it back. I think we'll let her get used to the taste. I've got honey in to sweeten. She must be feeling better, she's fighting me for the keyboard :] Time to nurse.....again. Guest guest
If she's still interested in it, she'll probably get used to the taste. Glad she's doing better!!
