Dianne,

Garlic & mullein oil works great... you can buy it at health food stores if since you don't have time to make it... Then make a batch to keep around.

I've got a cold and the congestion is sitting in my ears. At night I'm getting

horrendous

earaches, and this morning one of my ears had leaked a bit of blood. I'm already

taking

lots of Total Tonic and Echinacea+; is there anything I can put directly in the

ear to

help relieve the pressure? Please???

Hi Dianne, If you're eating any dairy I would highly recommend that you drop that from your diet, at least while this problem is occuring. It is very mucous producing and will contribute to keeping the congestion there. I would also recommend dropping all meat... essentially, going to a REALLY GOOD diet until you get through this. Ideal would be to do only organic juices. Give your body a chance to handle what's going on.

Keep us posted, OK?Kelli

Try a mix of garlic and mullien in olive oil. We keep it on hand all the time, and works wonders.

Add some lobelia to this for better circulation if you'd like.

I just got done putting garlic juice/oil directly in my ear and my

infants. Let me tell you, it feels great to me. Just put 4-6 drops

directly in your ear canal and lay on your side so it stays in. Let it

sit there for 3-5 min (or longer if you fall asleep:) then turn over

with a cloth on your ear to soak up the draining juice. Then repeat the

process for the other ear. I'm a little worried about the whole blood

coming out of your ear thing. I would get an otoscope (o-tow-scope)

(that thing they look at your ear with at the doctors) and have someone

look at what's going on in there. My midwife says those can be found on

eBay.

Try this,

While your laying down grasp your ears

gently and pull gently outward away from your head then pull gently down

towards the back of your head. This realeases fluid in your eustacian (sp?)

tubes you might feel it draining down the back of your throat.
