Guest guest
Hi. I'm Debra. I've read through previous posts, but had a few questions. In regards to fighting candida (severe), has anyone tried ThreeLac? If so, was the experience positive, neutral, or negative? When I've searched the internet, what I've found are glowing reports on websites that sell ThreeLac and horrible reports on sites that sell a competing product. Also, I was considering using extra-virgin coconut oil daily as a supplement to try to battle the candida. However, I consume very little fat as it is and still have acne. So, I'm worried that adding the coconut oil to my diet will not only cause me to gain weight but may make the acne even worse. Has anyone who uses this on a regular basis suffered any negative effects? I'd appreciate any input. Thank you.
Guest guest
Hi Debra, I tried ThreeLac years ago for over six months. It didn't do a whole lot for me. However, when I had my father go on it, he instantly had really bad symptoms of candida die-off and it worked well for him. If I remember correctly, ThreeLac only works on certain strains of candida. I just figured I had one of the strains that it didn't help. I was never 100% sold on the product anyway. It doesn't actually fix the underlying causes of the candida overgrowth. Coconut oil, on the other hand, has worked very well for me and my father (he didn't want to take ThreeLac indefinitely). Along with a thorough body detox and supplements to correct our acidic body pH, of course. Most people are afraid to take coconut oil because it's a " dreaded " saturated fat with lots of bad press. Where did all that bad press come from? If you follow the trail, it ends up at the door of the vegetable oil manufacturers. Not exactly an unbiased source! But there is a lot of data out there saying that coconut oil will wreck your health. Why is that? Because the experiments used hydrogenated coconut oil - trans fats! So if you buy coconut oil, you need to make sure that it isn't the highly processed, deodorized garbage that is more commonly available. You certainly want to avoid coconut oils made from copra - look for virgin coconut oils that are solid at room temperature and have a light coconut flavor. I have been getting my coconut oil from tropicaltraditions.com for years. As far as it making you gain weight, it actually boosts thyroid function. Most people lose a little weight when they add it to their diet. It can also rev up your metabolism because it contains high amounts of MCT's (medium chain triglycerides). Although the name sounds perhaps a little scary, they are actually very good for you. Plus MCT's CANNOT turn to fat, because the liver uses them up right away for an energy boost. Coconut oil also improves the skin when applied externally and/or taken internally. It will not clog your pores. I also use it occasionally as a hair conditioner. Consuming only a little bit of fat tends to cause skin problems. One of the benefits of fat is healthy skin and hair. But it has to be the right kind of fat. Most vegetable oils that are touted as healthy are actually anything but. I only use coconut oil, virgin olive oil, and butter. All are very healthy fats, despite all the bad press. http://www.how-to-boost-your-immune-system.com/fat-facts.html You might also find this candida guide helpful: http://www.how-to-boost-your-immune-system.com/candida-albicans.html Good luck to you. Guest guest
Debra, In response to your second question, coconut oil is good for your metabolism and can help you lose weight. It's also supposed to be good for skin conditions among other things. There is a lot of information out there on the benefits of coconut oil. Check out this website: http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/ There has been a lot of misinformation about fats in recent years. It turns out that low fat is not healthy, but it's important to eat the right fats. Guest guest
I've tried ThreeLac and it was OK for candidia. I would recommend that you do a yeast-free, sugar free diet. You can have meat, eggs, vegetables and plain yogurt and water to elimate any yeast or sugar feeding the yeast (this helped me tremendously although it was hard). Make sure you limit your red meat and try to eat organic if you can. The other things that helped with the candidia were Pau D'Arco tea or capsules daily, a supplement that is in powered form that you drink in the morning to help your intestinal tract get healthy. This product is called Probioplex Intensive Care, you can look it up on the web and order it in powdered form and also the use of caprylic acid. I found my weight dropped, my skin cleared, my hair grew better and didn't fall out and I had so much energy that I thought I was 18 again. It was a wonderful feeling. I was on this for about 3-4 weeks and then I watched what I ate afterwards to see what was causing the problems. You cannot have any fruits on this program except granny smith apples as natural fruit does have sugar and can feed the yeast that is causing the candidia. Good luck and blessings to you, Cheri , " dphillips2ac " <dphillips2ac wrote: > > Hi. I'm Debra. > > I've read through previous posts, but had a few questions. Guest guest
I went to see the page on coconut research at http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/coconut-research.htm and could not find any thing about Coconut oil being good for our cardiovascular health . Coconut oil is A 92 % saturated fat so I don't see how it can be good for our health. Could you help me and show me some researches on the subject that is not from the Philippines or post link to the papers ? Thank you
