Guest guest
I've read if you open the capsule and smell it, a strong fish smell indicates its rancid and that a fresh one will have little or no smell. I have an expensive brand, and it has a strong smell. I keep them at room temp and feel uncomfortable now about them. Any input is appreciated. Buy in smaller quantities and keep cool. When something is rancid it generally has an " old " stronger smell, often with discoloration. Did you buy these in a large quantity and how long ago? Find some in specialty store in the smallest quantity or take yours with you to one and check them against each other. Often the clerks in the health food stores are good at knowing things too. Fox Fire Farms or Suzanne's may have a question spot on their websites. I cannot imagine fish oil not smelling strong!
