Ditto !

I use only cast iron and stainless.

I got rid of ALL aluminum INCLUDING deodorant.

Both of my folks pasted away last year and BOTH had ALZHEIMER'S. (Alzheimer's - aluminum)

Looking back over the years - ALL of our pots were aluminum growing up.

Makes me think about of my grown children and grand-ones. Don't wait - dump the pots. Cast iron is not expensive.

Ialso use cast Iron for my fry pans. I will use no

other. I love them and about craking and breaking. A

woman told me she accidently turned the heat on under

her glass frypan and the house was full of bacon

grease smoke and she run in and grabed the pan and

shoved it in a sink of dish water, she had there and

it never broke. This pan was just short of being on

fire. I also burned some potatoes in one befor I

learned how to cook with them and did the same stuck

it in some water it never broke. So just be careful

and they are good pans.

Lodge makes good cast iron pans. We have had ours for years but my

cousin bought some at an outlet mall this summer. Look for a kitchen

store. You can buy online but it is so heavy I think the shipping

would be prohibitive.

I have the same dilemma. Cast iron is too heavy to lift, Teflon is toxic, Visions is also too heavy, stainless is great, but not non-stick.

I put a tiny bit of good oil in my SS pan and cook my eggs very very slowly with the lid on - comes out fine, doesn't stick either - feels like poached but no water is used ..... or you can put a few tomatoes in first same method .......

So I've been reading about the dangers of Teflon and other materials many of our

pots and pans are made from and I'm wondering what is a safe alternative? I

know Dr. Mercola came up with his own set but it is out of my price range at

this time. Are there others?

Thanks,

I am in the market for new cookware, and have told hubby I want that for Christmas, however when I checked out that site, the cookware I found was outrageous expensive, at least for me. I will pay around $2000 but some of the small pans were like 389.00 per pan. Also what about the glass cookware, we now know the corning ware is not what it used to be, but what shall we replace it with?

Just some food for thought or lack of food without cookware:-)

You can tell I am feeling better.

Thanks,

Yeah the Mercola cookware is great, if a bit pricey. If you go there, use my link would ya, since Mercola is one of the companies I chose to affiliate with due to the quality of their products and suitability for my suggested protocol?

http://products.mercola.com/?aid=CD363

Speaking of products, our website's Supplements section now has a pretty complete selection from Mercola, Native Remedies and their PetsAlive division in addition to extensive items from longtime favorites Utopia Silver, Oasis Complete Wellness, Jon Barron's Baseline Nutritionals Formulas. We also have links, but no individual product listings yet for Life Extension, iherb and more.

Feel free to buy from whomever you want and to use our affiliate links or not, but affiliate sales is a vital part of the income that keeps and I (and now my son too) afloat. Money is not the primary reason we do what we do, just a necessary one for us to keep going and have the time we do to devote to what we like to do in helping others and spreading information about alternatives to mainstream drugs and treatments (and the dangers of those mainstream items). We don't make much from any single source, but it all adds up.

Tony,

That is not the cookware that I was looking at that I said was so expensive, this is not expensive at all. Cookware is pricey and I don't mind paying a good price, but when I went to this one site (which of course I can't find right now) it was so $$. I would not pay $389.00 for one small pan, and that is what it was. I looked at several pieces and they were all that $. Someone directed me to Mercola's site and I did go there, but didn't find the cookware. This cookware that I was looking at was

waterless, greaseless, surgicial steel. Now I found two sites, one being what I described above and another where the prices were reasonable, therefore I thought the realsonable ones had to be

inferior:-)

One more think, I am not sure I understand how to use affiliate links, I assume I can just to Mercola in the below email from you and Mercola would know you sent me or am I being naive? sent me to a couple of places that had codes that I assume were affliites of yours for purchasing a couple of things that I sent to my daughter and the red clover for my husband and me.

I ship to the war zone, Germany and to my daughter in the states, and I do buy a lot of vitamins. I am just as happy to use a affiliate of yours.

I have bought a lot from life extensions, and I heard about them fromfSuzanne Somer's book

Breakthrough, I think that is when I started to be serious about: throwing out my toothpaste and getting no floride, using corn starch instead of deodorant (works like a charm for me). I started to go to other sites like life extensions, where I found out about natural news.com who recommended the bentonite clay, and that website sent me to you and . Now I no longer take the cancer shot s

(hormone therapy 3100 euros a shot here in Germany and that only includes the actual medicine, not the cost of seeing a dr. to supervise it or the nurse to inject it. A little better in the states: on around $600.00 per shot...man did that big pharma make some $ off me in the last three years. LOL

When I go back in May and get my checkup with a PET/CT and I am cancer free I will breathe better.

The shots were something that would go throughout my body seeking out the cancer cells. I don't have active, full blown, but cells in the body left after surgery.

OK, I got a little off topic on that. So the cookware that Mercola sells is good, well that is all I need to hear. I am not a great cook and don't do much of it, but heck we are all entitled to new cookware once in a while. My husband did ask what I was going to do with it:-)

He is in the war zone, I am in Germany, my daughter is in Ca., but we will all be here for Christmas and I can try out my new pans:-)

Thank you Tony and , you are been a true inspiration to me. I can't tell you how much my life has changed since finding Oleander soup, though I have a long way to go I am learning more every day.

Have a Blessed day.

Is this cookware called " master (salad) " ? There is one such that is waterless

cooking and yes very expensive. It is sold like they sell tupperware - home

parties with demos.

Yes, when someone clicks on an affiliate link such as the one for Mercola products, we should get credit for any purchases made on the site.

The direct link to the cookware is:

http://products.mercola.com/cookware/?aid=CD363

It actually is not that expensive now I see - selling currently for $290 for a 16 piece set ($100 off the list price). Yes, it looks like a very good product and someday I hope to be able to afford it myself (meanwhile, we use stainless steel and glassware). There is a pricier package that contains bakeware and some other items that goes for almost $600.

Another thing to add is that even if you have shopped at some of our affiliates before without using our link, almost all of them will still give us credit when you use our link for future purchases. It costs you nary a cent extra to do so and helps us out, so we surely appreciate it. Melly,

Could be. I forgot where I found it, I thought it was from Natural news, but total forgot, especialy

since I have had this awful sinus/ear infection. I can hardly think.

You can see what I mean about 'expensive'. Where did you see it?

I was surprised to see how inexpensive Mercola is. $600.00 for a set. The set I almost bought when I decided to post and ask for info was on sale for $1700. I actually bought it and then cancelled it as I decided to try to get some info on cookware before buying it,

In the best swamp yankee tradition, by visiting a couple Salvation Army stores in the past couple of months, I have put together a set of vision glass cookware for about $50 that includes 3 frying pans, 3 saucepans with lids. As long as you use a little common sense, and don't pour cold water in a hot pan, they work great.

That is fantastic. What a great shopper you are, and bargain finder. My husband would thing vision ware was glasses . LOL

Maybe If I was back in the states I might find some of those fantatic buys, But I am overseas and don't tell anyone, but I love to shop:-) I learned online shopping very quickly, much to my hubby's dismay.

And for a great announcement: MY HUBBY IS COMING HOME NEXT WED. (HOME AS IN gERMANY) AFTER ONE AND HALF YEARS IN THE WAR ZONE. yaHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

He won't be home long before he is sent someone else, but we will have the best Christmas with my dauthter here. I am soOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to it. The year and half didn't seem so long, but the week seems like it will never get here"-)

Barbara

France makes the vision cookware but its cover is made by Pyrex/corningware.

Maybe you can find it there. Vision cookware if given proper care will last

long. Look up on how to handle it properly in the web. It can handle freezer

to stove and stove to cold water. The thing is use wooden utensils so you don't

scrath it and don't bang it around specially when washing and when you try to

unload stuck food on your ladle -- by hitting the ladle against the side of the

cookware. Hitting/banging weakens the glass. Makes them brittle. Same goes for

the corningware stovetop cookware.

couple of things that I sent to my daughter and the red clover for my husband

and me.

bentonite clay, and that website sent me to you and .  Now I no longer

did that big pharma make some $ off me in the last three years. LOL

good, well that is all I need to hear.  I am not a great cook and don't do much

of it, but heck we are all entitled to new cookware once in a while.  My husband

did ask what I was going to do with it:-)

links, but no individual product listings yet for Life Extension, iherb and

more.

just a necessary one for us to keep going and have the time we do to devote to

what we like to do in helping others and spreading information about

alternatives to mainstream drugs and treatments (and the dangers of those

mainstream items).  We don't make much from any single source, but it all adds

up.
