I recall seeing an MD on PBS claim that a fermented soyfood ('natto' in

Japanese) is the best thing available for building bone density. To prepare it,

steam or cook soybeans until soft, pack the beans in some of those to go

containers from Asian restaurants. Ferment 3 days over the pilot light in your

oven or until a white mold blooms on top. Yeccch! Add a little soy sauce.

It's an acquired taste but does the job. Before taking magnesium to assimilate

calcium, know that magnesium is a metal. Mineral calcium may lower serum

calcium. Would you put magnesium sauce on your spaghetti? Soybeans aren't rich

in calcium, it's produced by the microorganisms in fermentation. Lavoisier's

Law was invented 100 years before Western Science discovered bacillus Koch.

Natto is definitely an acquired taste, and many who are Macrobiotic eat is. I

ateit quite often while in college.

I use herbal calcium, in which I add some AVC, as I have arthritis, bone

spurs, etc.
