Guest guest
I know that there are non toxic household products that can be used for laundry. I have used Google to search but I only get laundry products to buy. I am thinking of baking soda, borax, vinegar etc...type of items. Does anyone have suggestions or know of websites, please? Guest guest
You can always do what I did -- learn to make soap, then use plain lard soap (and borax if you have hard water). Put vinegar in the rinse compartment. It works at least as well as the petroleum-detergents. Good for the washer machinery, too. Guest guest
Hello, I use an infrared ball to do my wash. It works great and lasts 3 years! You can find them at my friend's website: http://www.shopnutronix.com/bt73811 Jennifer --- On Fri, 3/20/09, jmr1290 <jomarex wrote: jmr1290 <jomarex Re: non-toxic laundry Friday, March 20, 2009, 3:33 PM You can always do what I did -- learn to make soap, then use plain lard soap (and borax if you have hard water). Guest guest
I've been just using baking soda and white vinegar in place of detergent. I've been doing it about six months now, and my clothes still come just as clean. Stains come out at about the same rate--the only thing is I use a potpourri pouch in the dryer to counteract the (very faint) smell of vinegar that sometimes sticks to the clothing. --Dottie
