Real Foods Equal a Healthy Baby

In March, of this year, our 23 year old son Eyman, informed us that he had

fallen in love with a bright and beautiful local girl and that it's for real

this time. Her name is Valecia. We were very happy for him. Shortly

thereafter, we learned that Valecia had a 4 month old baby boy; Malakai. We

were amazed to see our son get involved in the duties of fatherhood so quickly.

He enjoys Malaki a great deal and has taken on the role of fatherhood as if he

were the real father. He is nurturing, protective and has decided to become the

provider for both Valecia and Malakai.

In April, Eyman came to me and asked, " Why is it that every time I feed Malakai

his milk, he ends up throwing it up? Is this normal with all babies? " My reply

to him was, " Yes, most babies will burp after they are fed and spit up a little

bit of milk. " He said, " I'm not talking about just spitting up, I'm talking

about throwing up most of the milk I just fed him, and that happens every time

he's fed. Also, he's always so hungry and never seems to become satisfied.

He'll ask for another bottle within an hour of feeding him. " To me, that

description didn't sound very normal. So, I asked him to show me the type of

milk formula being fed to Malakai so I could see the ingredients list.

I was shocked to see the contents of what Malakai was being fed. Malakai was

allergic to cow's milk, so his doctor recommended a " non-milk " type formula as a

substitute. Here are the ingredients of this forumla:

Corn Syrup solids (55%), vegetable oil (palm olein. soy, coconut, and high

olenic sunflower oils) (27%), soy protein isolate (15%), and less than 1%

vitamin A Palmitate, vitamin D3, vitamin E acetate, vitamin K1, thiamin

hydrochloride, riboflavin, vitamin B6 hydrochloride, vitamin B12, niacinamide,

folic acid, calcium pantothenate, biotin, ascorbic acid, choline chloride,

inositol, calcium phosphate, magnesium phosphate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate,

cupric sulfate, potassium iodide, potassium citrate, potassium hydroxide,

potassium chloride, sodium citrate, sodium selenite, L-methionine, taurine,

L-carnitine.

Now you know why I was shocked! What Malakai had survived on since birth was

not milk, it wasn't even real food. All the ingredients were nothing but

isolates and synthetics (chemicals). How can a baby grow and remain healthy on

man made chemical concoctions! Malakai must be a sick baby!

I soon learned that Malakai had allergies, recurring ear infections, and asthma

and I wasn't surprised. He's already been given many drugs, including

antibiotics and Tylenol, plus he was on steroids delivered through an inhaler

prescribed for his asthma. Valecia told me that they were always in and out of

the doctor's office because of his ill health. I felt so sorry for his little

body as it was being bombarded with all these chemicals, at only four months of

age!

In a subsequent discussion, I was happy to learn that Valecia was willing to do

whatever it took to help him become healthy. The first change I recommended was

to put him on real milk. I gave Valecia, Dr. Ted Morter's milk recipe for

children who are not breast fed. Here's what Dr. Morter recommends in his book,

Your Health, Your Choice: " For those newborns and infants who must be fed

something other than mother's milk, the closest acceptable substitute is a

combination of fresh raw goat's milk (pasteurized if you can't find raw), fresh

carrot juice (organic whenever possible), and distilled water. For a newborn,

the goat's milk, carrot juice, and distilled water are combined in equal thirds.

As the child gets older, the amount of water is gradually decreased as the milk

and carrot juice are increased. When the child is approximately six months old,

the proportions should be fifty percent goat's milk and fifty percent carrot

juice. Cow's milk should be avoided. Cow's milk if fine for calves, but not for

humans, either adults or children. " (p. 87).

In addition to Ted Morter's formula I recommended that she add the contents of

one Cell Tech's enzyme capsule, in every bottle, at feeding time, to the

formula. The formula includes: pasteurized goat milk, some bifidus infantis (buy

from a health food store), one a day of Cell Tech's acidophilus and 1/2 capsule

of Alpha Sun (for its high mineral content).

In the first two weeks during the change in Malakai's diet, he went through a

strong cleansing reaction. I had already educated Valecia about the possibility

of a cleansing and she was expecting it. Malakai experienced fever, chills, and

coughing. The cough continued for a few weeks as we loaded real food nutrients

into his body and then faded away.

Within a month, Malakai was totally off his inhaler and started gaining weight

rapidly. He is now 7 months old. He smiles, kicks hard, makes wonderful baby

noises, he's playful, and he is healthy. What a difference in just three months

on real foods. He went from a sick, lifeless (inactive and expressionless) baby

to a healthy and alive baby. I just get the chills thinking about the grim life

of ill health Malakai would have had to face if he had continued consuming only

the chemical products. How many babies out there are suffering from allergies,

asthma, skin problems, kidney and liver problems, autism, and many other

biological and behavioral disorders that could be avoided by simply giving them

some real food nutrition?

My purpose in writing this article and passing it on to you is to make you aware

of Dr. Morter's healthy recipe for babies who are not breast fed. Breast milk

of course, is the number one choice of food for babies. However, there are tens

or hundreds of thousands of babies who are not breast fed who are being fed

either cow's milk, soy milk, or canned concoctions of chemicals (not real food).

If you know any family members or friends who might benefit from the information

in this article, please pass it on to them, especially if the child is suffering

from the already mentioned health challenges. Feeding a baby properly early on,

can save them from a life time of health problems. It is as simple as putting

real foods in the baby's body and the miracle of health follows. I now get to

experience the energy, alertness, activity and happiness in Malakai's smile

every time I see him and it fills me with joy.

Thanks for that baby formula and the excellent story.

Now I happen to know that Eyman is the name of Donia Alawi's son, and she wrote

the newsletter for Joergen's website.

Donia's newsletters are always packed with generic health information and are

worth reading.

One can also tell this newsletter is " canned " since the enzymes are still coming

from CellTech, which has been re-named Simplexity Health for a while now. It

doesn't exactly roll trippingly off the tongue and as an old algae hand I miss

the old name.

Please Joergen, keep sharing this, but next time give credit where it is due OK?

The more honest MLMers are, the better for all of you.

I second the support for Simplexity's enzymes and probiotics. They are superb.

Alas, I can no longer in good conscience sell the basic product AlphaSun since

the recent price hike. Products of similar quality are available elsewhere for a

fraction of that price.

I am actually working on a web page with several sources for the miracle of

Klamath Lake, with pros and cons of each.

I would still recommend the Essentials package from Simplexity.

It is a nice way to get enzymes, probiotics, and some AFA without having to buy

whole bottles of each.

Ien in the Kootenays, too darned honest for her own good, playing around with

domain names
