Rik,

Gardasil is NOT a vaccine against cervical cancer!

It is a vaccine against Human Papilloma Virus, a sexually transmitted disease that can predispose to cervical cancer.

STDs by their very nature can be prevented by other methods!

Some girls have become very ill from the vaccine. I wouldn't touch this one with a ten foot pole.

More on it here:

Are you referring to Gardasil? There's quite a few instances of severe vaccine

reactions, just google it and you'll find them. It is supposed to protect

against some strains of HPV that can cause cervical cancer, but it doesnt

protect against them all, and your body can get rid of HPV on its own. Mine did.

Hi Rik,

This vaccine has recently become available in the UK, and it has caused a lot of

controversy here too! It is being offered to 13 year old girls in most schools

(I believe they offer it at this age because the vaccine needs to be given

before the girl has had sex, and at this age they should achieve this!!).

From what I know about it, it can prevent cervical cancer by stopping the girls

getting the virus which causes it. This is of course a good thing as cervical

cancer is an awful, devastating disease. However, some people are worried about

any possible side-effects in the future as it is a new vaccine, and also it is

very expensive so here where we have the NHS (free healthcare) a lot of people

are asking whether it is worth the cost.

I hope this helps a bit!

The vaccine is for certain strains of warts. Some of which CAN be

transmitted through sexual contact. The idea is that if someone gets

genital warts, they are at increased risk for cancer. It is also NOT for

all the strains of genital warts.

Vaccines contain recombinant (mutant) virii and use toxic substances as

preservatives, such as thimersol (mercury) and formaldehyde.

It's a bit of a stretch to say it " stops the girls getting the virus that

causes cancer. " It allegedly is somewhat effective at preventing SOME

strains of warts.

Hello All,

Please read and pass on:

I was at a wellness fair back in November where i met a Doctor named Dr.

Calapai...I cannot recall his website; you can google him..he is amazing and

VERY informative..

he advised the audience to absolutely not even think about giving  this vaccine

to anyone..a lot of information not given to the public to consider....and not

good..

Hi, someone just directed me to this website for a different vaccine

that I had a question on. Here's the link to the HPV vaccine info.

My daughter will never get this vaccine. This site has a lot of

information on different vaccines. Hope this helps. Genevive

Actually, to be technical, it is for certain strains of HPV, which does not

always mean warts. It can also cause " suspicious lesions " only seen internally

and also no outward signs until it is cervical cancer. In fact, most strains do

not cause external signs in females. The warts usually occur on men, but women

can carry it and spread it as well.
