Guest guest
Hi doglover- If you're talking about the rapid heart beat some get (including me) from traditional novacaine injections, then that can be eliminated by choosing anesthetic without epinephrine. Citanest Plain is one, Lido 2% w/out epi is another. The downside is it doesn't last as long so repeat injections may be needed during dental procedures. (and more drug your body has to process out and more soreness after wards from repeat needle stabs)...And extra would surely be needed with a root canal as that takes longer than more routine dental stuff... That being said, I realized that the last thing you would want is to start to go un-numb in the middle of a root canal...My teeth hurt just thinking about it...I'd discuss this potentiality thoroughly with your dentist before going without epinephrine...Or maybe there is another additive that you can tolerate better than the epi...? Whatever you choose, good luck- Janet " doglover894 " <doglover894 wrote: getting a root canal. what else can be used for pain or added to > novocaine to help with palpitations. thanks in advance >
Guest guest
ask ahead of time to make sure they have the novacaine Without the epinephrine in it. If you google " novacaine without epinephrine " you will see that alot of people can not tolerate epinephrine. I thought I was having a heart attack the last time I had a tooth filled because they didn't mention the " new addition " to the novacaine. You may have heard of " microbes " that can breed in sealed root canals, causing health problems at a later date. If you have time to explore this topic, I would recommend this so that you are aware of the potential health problems that may possibly arise at a later date, also alot of good info if you google this. Guest guest
Do you have palpitations all the time, or just on Novacaine? Homeopathic Arnica 30C before and after is very helpful, as well as Hypericum afterwards. Write me for instructions/dosing.
