glucosamine, but only if he is not diabetic.  also, omega 3 could help.  Omega 3

is good for heart, but in people, if the heart is too diseased, it doesnt help.

Dont know if its the same for dogs.  keep his bed  on the floor and there are

stairs for them to use.  ebay has a variety of steps.

I have been using an Amino Acid supplement called DLPA for my old husky and she

is doing much better. My friend has also used it for his lab with great

results.

It is made by Twinlabs and is available in health foood stores. My dog takes 2

capsules per day.

My holistic veterinarian recommended this when other pain meds didn't work.

Please do some web research on this so you know what it is.

For the itchy skin, I would recommend something like Carlson Salmon Oil with

GLA or any good quality Omega 3 softgel. That is what I used on my

Newfoundland for his itchy and flaking skin. It solves the problem.

Hi Ben,

What does your dog eat?

As for joint supps, try glucosamine and chondriotin, Vitamin C to bowel

tolerance, and fish oil. The fish oil might help the coat as well.
