Guest guest
I have had ulcertative colitis for about 5 1/2 years and I have been on a medication called asacol, then they switched me to Lialda and now they want to put me on Remicade which can only be done at the doctors' office thru infusion....is anyone familiar with Remicade? I mean i am so nervous about all this and scared to the point where I am always concerned about the process of giving birth..since i plan to get pregnant right away during my honeymoon this September 2009. Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas to what other options I have and if Remicade is the way to go...well how can I prepare myself for the changes in the medication...etc... Thank You, Ms. Alicea
Guest guest
I was diagnosed with UC shortly after giving birth (not to scare you, but it's a lot on your body, coupled with lack of sleep, ouch.) and went the gamut of prescription meds. Mine is not terribly severe thank goodness but one doctor wanted me to take something called 6NP, something related to cancer medicines? Good heavens, no. I've been in remission for about 4 years now but I take Aloe M.P. Plus daily. I take 2 in the morning and 2 at night, bumping it up if I feel I need it. I can eat whatever I want but I truly think it's what helped me. Too bad it's so expensive but compared to the alternative, it's worth it. I don't take any other prescription meds to control it. Some of their side effects were really rough on me. I try to buy the 6 bottle case at a time since you basically get a bottle for free this way. If you should order, they reward referrals (and I'm getting due to place another order), just please: " have the person you recommended Aloe M.P. Plus to enter your name (Laura Hon) in an email from our " Contacts“ web page after they place their first order. " www.aloevin.com I'm not selling the product but I know there are some similar ones out there that cost more. But from personal experience, this product has allowed me to live a completely normal life. P.S. It is supposed to be safe during a pregnancy. We're trying right now too....Good luck to you!
