I would exercise extreme caution here, congestive heart failure isn't something

I would be comfortable with making any suggestions.

Hi everyone. I have been a member of this board for several

years, but have a problem. I have a sister in law who has congestive

heart failure, and now has edema with both legs swelling a lot below

the knee. She has taken water pills, and juniper berry tea sometimes

for water retention. Based on what I could find on the internet I

recommended she take nettle herb in capsule form to alleviate the

edema. I talked to her today and she says she is not improved. Anyone

got any advice as to a natural treatment that might help? Blessings,

Belial the Uncouth.

1. massage both elbows at the end of the inner elbow line, press hard

with a thumb, then massage it.

this point is with the heart meridian, it help to cure heart disease at

the same time improves kidney function,

edema is related to poor kidney function.

2. try to walk on the knees on bed or carpet, protect your knees with

something so wont hurt the knees, try

to do this 11am - 1pm (but before lunch)and 5-7pm, these two periods

relates to when the chi/qi is by the

heart (lunch hour) and by the kidney. this exercise shall be taken

before meal, or at least 2 hours after meal.

walk for 5mins each time twice a day, when she gets more comfortable she

may extend to 10 mins.

3. stop cold drinks, eat less salad, more cooked food more beef and

mutton, her digestion system needs more

energy, cold drinks and cold food takes away the energy so the system

doesnt function properly. vegetables

shall be cooked with oil and salt.

4. sleep early, she shall sleep before 11pm, wake up no earlier than

5am. give rest to all her organs.

let us know how it goes.

I need to step in and agree with Max. I live with the same problem

and for 20 years nothing has worked fully except what the Dr.

prescribed. I have tried alternative everything and had dangerous

incidents on account of this (lucky I am still alive). I have been on

a certain fluid pill daily all these years and reconciled that it

isn't really harmfu. The alternative can be (for this problem) and

after two heart incidents, I let it go. Why it took two occurrences,

I don't know - bull-headed I guess.

Please study Dr Matthias Rath book on congestive heart problem and edema, I was

developing a heart problem in April last year, but I could recover because of Dr

Rath's idea.

on top of my previous msg, can give you an even easier exercise,

this will help to relief to certain extend of edema. the other

exercise with my last msg would be more complete cure, as these

are just exercise, it will not harm or worsen her problems:

feet down on a firmer carpet or wood floor, keep the heel on ground

raise the sole then step down, feel the bounce back inside the sole,

keep doing this while she watch tv or travelling on public transportation. this

helps to improve kidney function and so would

be on her legs circulations.

herebelow repeat previous msg:

1. massage both elbows at the end of the inner elbow line, press hard

with a thumb, then massage it.

this point is with the heart meridian, it help to cure heart disease at

the same time improves kidney function,

edema is related to poor kidney function.
