Guest guest
Hello -- my son has his first ever ear infection (he's 17 years old). There is pus in the opening of his ear canal, no unpleasant odour. It pains him on occasion since this cropped up a couple of days ago, following on from very extreme seasonal allergies and horrible congestion (which we've dealt with using kali bich, a herbal tincture from the medical herbalist, containing cayenne, echinacea, eyebright, horseradish, garlic and withania. It has really helped him and he can breathe through his nose again (he was so congested he could barely swallow and when he spoke it sounded like he was choking, so congested was he! Anyway, we have ordered some mullein/ garlic ear oil from the herbalist, but it won't arrive until tomorrow evening. Is there something we can do to relieve his pain? I just have him sitting with a hot compress up to his ear. Thanks Andrea NZ
Guest guest
More came to mind ... there is also a pain relief blend (helpful if you don't have premade essential oil blends... 30 drops balsam fir 10 drops helichrysum 5 drops peppermint 1 drop oregano (I would dilute with olive oil 50%) Apply to bottom of feet, working the vita flex points, then topically on location (around ear and down neck along Eustachian tube). Rub on temples, back of neck, the forehead, or use as a compress on back. Other recommended essential oils for ear ache... Thyme linalol (thymus vulgaris CT linalol) lavender (lavandula angustifolia) tea tree oil (melaleuca alternifolia) rosemary cineol rosmarinus officinalis CT 1, 8 cineol) helichrysum (helichrysum italicum) roman chamomile (chamaemelum nobile) ravensara (ravensara aromatica) peppermint (mentha piperita) eucalyptus radiata Blessings, Maria ID , Andrea Gauland <dreaquince wrote: > > Hello -- my son has his first ever ear infection (he's 17 years > old).
