Hi Vera, Lugol solution, we love it!!

 

If I am thinking of the same thing you are

asking about, Lugol is a brand of iodine

which has different ingredients than the

typical drug store stuff used externally.

 

Lugol iodine can be taken internally, and,

as I understand it, cause good results in

a number of different circumstances.

 

Someone working at our local health food

store told me that there are a number of

places online which have articles about it,

however I have not actually " searched " for

them.

 

I had read about how eating lots of cruci-

ferous vegetables blocked the body from

getting iodine where it needed to be and

negatively affected the thyroid and caused

weight gain.

 

So, I stopped eating cruciferous vegetables

every day (still eat them, just not as fre-

quently) and started taking 2 dropperfuls

of Lugol iodine per day, and wow, the effect

this had on my thyroid and metabolism, the

pounds melted off.

 

I am by no means an expert on Lugols, or

how much is safely consumed, perhaps a call

to the manufacturer, or some internet research

would give a good answer.

 

We have only one health food store in the

entire city (from what I have been able to

determine) which stocks the Lugol iodine,

so if you decide to get some, you may want

to phone ahead to verify they have it.

How do you know if you have hypothyroidism in which the Lugol solution may
