Guest guest
Hi everyone, I was just reminded of a question I wanted to post: I get these huge boils/cysts on my face when I drink any tea that take a long time to heal. I need antibiotics from Dr. and they still scar terribly. I have the same thing happen when I take any supplement that has green tea in it. I just ignored the issue and stayed away from any tea, but my son gave me a 2 pound can of Teavana Matevana Rooibos Chai and now I am in love with it (yet afraid to drink it). I have tried regular teas, chamomile, green tea and react to all of them. Does anyone have any reason I may be reacting to teas? Could it be ridding me of poisons and this is how it shows or would this be an allergic reaction? What teas I may be able to drink without reacting to it? Guest guest
I would say The Tea is just bringing these bacteria to the surface of your skin; the Tea is not causing this; sounds like Strep or staph bacteria; I would go with the anitbiotics; and stay away from the Tea; eat lots of Garlic and Onions daily; thx.a , " britebluebees " <bluebirdees wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > I was just reminded of a question I wanted to post: > > I get these huge boils/cysts on my face when I drink any tea that take > a long time to heal. Guest guest
Try RED Clover tea-it helps to get rid of cysts etc so may help but it is a strange complaint-i understand the reaction  with tea or coffee that has tannin or caffeine but cammomile etc -it is unusual that you should have a reaction-also it is much trial and error---try some fruit teas or warm fruit juice-- also eat 3-6 almonds each day-if you feel it is an allergy then take echinachea-which can also be used as a tea, tablet or powdered form All teas may be sweetened with honey- your age may be a factor if you are in your teens etc so therefore hormonal but i am only quessing here. --- On Wed, 7/1/09, britebluebees <bluebirdees wrote: britebluebees <bluebirdees Boils (cysts?) from tea? Guest guest
, " Anne " <annroc2004 I think you may be allergic. I'd stay away from it if I were you. wrote: > > I would say The Tea is just bringing these bacteria to the surface of > your skin; the Tea is not causing this; > > sounds like Strep or staph bacteria; I would go with the anitbiotics; > > and stay away from the Tea; eat lots of Garlic and Onions daily; thx.a > , " britebluebees " > <bluebirdees@> wrote: > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > I was just reminded of a question I wanted to post: > > > > I get these huge boils/cysts on my face when I drink any tea that > take > > a long time to heal. Guest guest
Thank you everyone, I never heard of an allergy to tea, and it's hard to give up the benefits of teas, but until I can can figure out the exact ingredient, an allergic reaction is nothing to play around with and either are taking the antibiotics to heal them. The same reaction is to chocolate, and these are very large and painful things. Chocolate I can give up easily and have, but I love the teas. I have only spoken to one other person who testified to the same reaction from teas about 20 years ago. It was a man who was playing b-ball with my husband. I was using compresses for a sore I developed and he told me he had to give up ice tea because every time he drank it he developed the same boils and cyst like sores. That is how I figured out it was tea, actually. , " doglover894 " <doglover894 wrote: > > , " Anne " <annroc2004@> > > I think you may be allergic. Guest guest
I wonder if it's the caffeine or tannin in both (chocolate and tea) that might cause it. Looking around on the internet, also noticed that nickel is in both, can cause skin reactions if allergic to.
