Greetings-

My name is Brooke. About two months ago I had a thyroidectomy (a mass

on the thyroid was also removed). It didn't go as smoothly as hoped

(complications including excessive bleeding, hypocalcemia, severe

anxiety and extremely severe depression). Since then I've also had a

sinus infection that won't go away (I'm currently on Azythromicin

(sp)), body aches, stomach aches, pain (in both my back and scar

area), acne (which I've never had, lucky me), itching skin, yeast

infection, hemmroids(sp), dizziness, and total lack of energy. I've

had my TSH, T3 and T4s checked out fine, and there doesn't seem to be

any OBVIOUS reason for me to feel this way, other than the healing

process.

The problem is, the way I feel is so bad it's really impeding my

ability to function. I feel like I need some kind of total makeover

for my body and spirit, as all my systems seem to be out of wack.

I've seen an acupuncturist, but that was temporary help at best. I

tried yoga, but pulled my shoulder and need to rest it for a few more

weeks. I'm currently on: Antibiotics, celexa, lithium, ativan (for

panic attacks), vicodin (for pain), ambien, b vitamin, glucosamine, 8

grams of calcium (in 2 gram intervals), and propranolol. My

psychiatrist wants to add lamictal to the regime, hoping it will

bolster my spirits without side effects.

Thanks for any help you can give.

-Brooke

Have you looked up the side effects of all those drugs? Do they match your

symptoms?

No only that, look up those drugs as see if there are interactions with each

other. Prescription drugs are very hard on a body's system and the

combination can have a synergistic effect causing worse side effects.

Since you are on this list you are probably looking at alternatives, have

you thought of seeing a herbalist, nutritionist, naturopathic doctor who can

guide you through the prescription drugs to a healthy way of healing.

I don't know about all those prescription drugs and if you should come off

them slowly or quickly or even which ones may be necessary. I would go with a

whole body expert rather than just a psychiatrist who isn't looking at what

is going on with your whole body.

I wish you best in finding your heal and treatment.

Lynne

without a personal interview it is hard to say-however try  EFT for   aniety

and panic attacts--- meditation , diet and slowly cut down on meds---  sinus

infect is a funny one-use anti biotics but  also  saline nasal

douche(-horseraddish , garlic and vit c tabs) The nasal douche takes a little

getting use to but will relieve the pressure and  help kill bact and remove

mucus-----fenugreek tea or tabs will help  dislodge mucus

Diet and water are 2 main ingredients for  anxiety and  depression------i

posted  something yesterday on this site for such problems will probally be a

few  mails down the page  so read that too.  Life style change-difficult but

work on it- involve yourself in short term classes and charity-it allways helps

to see others less fortunate and  builds ones self esteem and positivity

to actively help even if it is just a few hours  per fortnight.   I suggest

a personal consultation with a naturalpath --ask around for  referrals-some

docs are  also trained in  nat and have both aspects
