Kidney issues...

Hello everybody,

I have a very dear friend who is having very serious kidney issues. Due to

some medications her kidneys now have high levels of protein in them and

apparently they are not working appropriately in processing protein. The

medication that caused this is no longer being taken: however, she is taking

high blood pressure meds. She's seeing a specialist at the end of this month

and right now her kidneys are " ok " .which basically means for the immediate

future she won't be needing dialysis. That doesn't mean that that won't

change down the road (and she has already made the decision to NOT have a

transplant if it ever comes to that).

Is there anything that she can do (aside from drinking a lot of fluids,

cranberry juice etc.) that she can do to get her protein levels down AND

have her kidneys recover so that they can heal? I was thinking perhaps a

fast to allow her body to detox and give her kidneys the break that they

need to get better. I am no expert so I'm reaching out for suggestions..

Thank you.

Lisa

A fast at this point would not be a good idea...it " could " overload her kidneys

with toxins....

Try Yoga...

This will improve the functioning of all internal organs

Consult with somebody teaching yoga or refer online books

Vajrasana (diamond pose) is specifically for kidneys and this asana can be taken

at any time, even after food.

But one should start with the preliminaries and after completing that, select

few asanas and practice regularly, preferably in the morning (in between 4 to 8

AM)

Yoga has wonderful powers !!!

Best regards,

sachin
