Guest guest
Hi I have type 2 diabetes, high triglycerides, low HDl, high blood pressure. The doctor currently has me on-Diovan, Coreg, Lipitor, aspirin, metformin, glipizide. I am looking for natural alternatives to all of these and their scary side affects. I would welcome reading about anyone else's experiences. I have already put myself on bilberry, fish oil, a multivitamin and alpha lipoic acid. Thanks! Guest guest
There are over 35 herbs that will work with diabetes. There are many more formulations some use cinnamon, bitter melon and bitter orange to have them work. These tend to be cheaper on their own. One I had success with was called Jade Spring by Plum Flower brand. I took this for a while. After my first three weeks my blood sugar was lower then with metformin advantia and 80 units of insulin. Every diabetic is different what may work for one may not for another. , Birdwalk <birdwalk wrote: > > I've had some success with fenugreek, cinnamon and chromium picolinate > in lowering glucose levels > > haven't had the cholesterol check in a while but have been on the fish oil > > another thing to note is vitamin b's to help with blood vessel elasticity > > lucile > > > > > > > Hi > > I have type 2 diabetes, high triglycerides, low HDl, high blood > > pressure. I shudder just thinking about that mix of drugs. When will they ever learn? One substance to add to your list would be Co Enzyme Q10. Diabetics need more of it, and Statin drugs like Lipitor deplete it. Lack of CoQ10 weakens the muscles. The heart is a muscle. Is something wrong with this picture? Get a good coQ10 that is emulsified in oil, rather than a powder. Whole food in supplement form, or supplements based on whole foods, are vastly superior to multivitamins. When you use whole foods you get the nutrients that have been discovered so far plus the ones that will be isolated tomorrow. The key to good healthy cholesterol levels is to keep the liver clean and active. Statin drugs are not recommended for people with liver problems. Is something wrong with this picture? Dr. Ben Kim has an excellent article on high blood pressure, and what to do about it. You can find it at http://drbenkim.com Carry on getting better! Guest guest
I fully agree with your views. But I have prescribed Gymnema Sylvester to many patient. It responded to all equally. May like to study. : prattdw2000: Mon, 15 Dec 2008 19:49:15 +0000 Re: natural medicine instead of plastic There are over 35 herbs that will work with diabetes.
